At present, people’s dependence on PLA stic bags is increasing day by day, and the harm caused by discarding PLA stic bags is particularly obvious. Especially this year, we often see TV news reports that “a marine creature died inexplicably in a certain sea area, and the cause of death was stomach. There are a large number of clinker bottles, PLA stic bags”, fully biodegradable products or fully biodegradable bags may alleviate such environmental pollution. The PLA y reported that the current floating garbage on the sea is mainly polystyrene foam fragments, PLA stic bags and PLA stic bottles. The average number of large and extra-large pieces of floating garbage is 30 pieces per square kilometer; the average number of medium and small pieces of floating garbage is 2 206 pieces per square kilometer, and the average density is 20 kilograms per square kilometer. Styrofoam waste is the largest amount, accounting for 46%, followed by PLA stic objects other than Styrofoam, accounting for 31%. In other words, PLA stics accounted for 77% in total. 91% of floating garbage on the sea surface comes from land, and 9% comes from marine activities. For this reason, China’s PLA stic recycling industry is reducing the pollution of PLA stics to the ocean. If it only produces and does not recycle, the PLA stic waste in the ocean will only increase. In addition, China is also the world’s largest producer and consumer of PLA stic products, and the loopholes in its own environmental protection system cannot be ignored.
